School Partnerships
The Franklin Food Bank is dedicated to eradicating hunger and promoting well-being in our community, especially among young students. By forging strong partnerships with local schools and organizations, we are actively working to provide essential food resources and educational opportunities. Our collaborative efforts aim to address the root causes of food insecurity, empower individuals, and build a healthier, more resilient community.

Workforce Development Program
Together we support adults and teens with disabilities by providing them with opportunity for meaningful employment skills. Participants gain practical experience through on-the-job training, working alongside experienced professionals.

Satellite Pantries
This year, we launched two satellite food pantries at schools that serve a high percentage of food-insecure children (up to 80% or double the average in Franklin Township) in an effort to increase access to food for these families in need. In addition to providing food, these pantries foster a sense of stability and support.

Backpack Program
Franklin Township students receiving Free and Reduced Lunch Program assistance qualify for participation in this program where, every week, we provide healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack items to accommodate the entire family for the weekend. This program is delivered in partnership with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Greater Somerset County YMCA.
