Collection Drives

Collecting Items
Collecting Monetary Donations

Collection Drives are the umbrella for food, dignity, and fund drives. Items donated truly drive the importance of partnership and donation-centered giving for all those involved. Through collaboration with strategic partners like you we are able to collect more than food! In 2024 we launched our Dignity Drives which include donations of period supplies and more which are essential items in daily living.

Collection drives can be creative! We have partnered with schools who host a pajama day to draw attention for their students to see the impact their food donation from home has on their community.

Large corporations have hosted a combination of a food and fund drive during their annual cornhole tournament. Engaging their employees in a fun way while giving back!

Hosting collection drives, especially with children ages 4 and up, provide concept of supporting a cause larger than their own lives.

Schools, houses of worship, corporations, small businesses, all joining together for the same cause.

Collecting items is a worthy cause, however monetary donations makes far more of an impact! According to Feeding America, donations can be turned into MORE meals than food, leading to building healthier communities.*

One way we see this on the frontlines: When food drives donate to us, it is shelf-stable items. We could instead use funding with our purchase-power to buy fresh healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and dairy products! For every $1 donated, we're able to purchase $3-$4 of food.

Additionally, funds can be used to combat food waste – we recover food from over 20 retailers, performing over 40 pickups 5 days a week!

Not all food banks have the capacity for receiving collection drives – the items need to be sorted, checked for expiration dates, and ultimately organized onto our shelves with our small but mighty team of staff and volunteers

What is a Fund Drive?

This is our greatest need! Monetary donations are key for everything we purchase. Because of our purchasing power, your dollar is quadrupled! Yup, that means that every $1 you fundraise with an online Fund Drive becomes $4!

The best part is - you don't need to let us know (but you can and you're welcomed for a scheduled tour!) - just click here to start your Fund Drive on our giving platform. You can customize, and then send it to your friends, and family! Many hands make light work!
